Dixie-Southern is a steel plate/pipe fabricator which is privately held, has over 70 employees and was founded in 1976. They specialize in oversized capabilities, overweight handling and some examples of their largest weldments shipped to date are; 182' long ASME pressure vessels (8), 34' wide coal storage bin, 22' high (diameter) HRSG exhaust stack, 32' diameter clarifier tank and a 90' long stainless steel bleach column with 100% radiograph.
Dixie-Southern started as a small fabrication job-shop and today encompasses a 12 acre facility with unlimited storage capabilities. It continues to be a leader and innovator among steel fabricators specializing in processing tanks, pressure vessels, piping, platework, chutes, bins, silos, launders, hoppers, large stacks and ductwork.
Dixie Southern serves power generation, water treatment, waste treatment, phosphate, chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing industries, etc.
They are located in West Central Florida in a rural location, 45 miles from TIA (Tampa International Airport), 30-40 minutes from two ports (Port of Tampa and Port Manatee), 1-1/2 hours from Disney/Orlando with direct access to two Interstate Highways (I-4 and I-75). |
