Water Processing & Storage Tanks

Steel tanks fabricated to NSF 61 and AWWA Standards

Dixie Southern fabricates steel water processing, water storage, and potable water tanks to NSF 61 standards. The National Sanitation Foundation’s standards help keep potable water in safe, drinkable conditions for the public. The NSF/ANSI Standard 61 signals that a product is safe to be installed in a potable water system for public use or consumption.

Steel water processing and storage tanks are also fabricated to AWWA standards by Dixie Southern. The American Water Works Association standards describe minimum requirements for design, installation, performance, and manufacture of products used in the drinking water industry.
Examples of water storage and water processing tanks that we fabricate:
  • Steel water treatment tanks
  • Steel water storage tanks
  • Distillation tanks
  • Condensate tanks
  • Condensate storage tanks

API 620 Tank, API Shop Fabricated Tanks from Dixie Southern
API 620 Tanks

The design configuration of API 620 requires that the user has an elevated or flat bottom on which to set the stainless-steel tank. This type of storage tank has a single, vertical, central axis of revolution, and the tank is used for products that have high internal pressures, such as liquified natural gas and cryogenic tanks. Available as a stainless-steel tank or carbon steel tank.

API 650 Tanks

The design configuration of API 650 covers tanks that support the whole bottom evenly and tanks in non-refrigerated service that have a maximum design temperature of 200 degrees F. API 650 tanks can store oil, gas, chemical, water, and biofuel and are some of the most common steel tanks in the oil industry. Available as a stainless-steel tank or carbon steel tank.

Our API Tanks are designed, fabricated, and delivered to your facility worldwide.
  • Our chemical tank fabrication process meets the API 620 and API 650 standards
  • API storage tanks fabricated from carbon and stainless steel
  • Legal load, oversized, super load, custom heavy storage tanks
  • Lined internally for special applications
  • Can be used across many industrial markets

DIMENSIONS

Water processing and storage tanks come in various sizes to accommodate different capacities and applications. Along with shapes and heights, we offer several options in diameters to assist you with the specific requirements of your application, ranging from 36″ to 192″.

  • 36″ diameter tanks: Capacity around 100 to 300 gallons (suitable for small-scale water storage or processing applications, such as residential or small commercial systems).
  • 48″ diameter tanks: Capacity around 300 to 500 gallons (commonly used in small to medium-sized commercial or industrial applications).
  • 72″ diameter tanks: Capacity around 1,000 to 2,000 gallons (suitable for larger-scale commercial or industrial applications).
  • 96″ diameter tanks: Capacity around 3,000 to 5,000 gallons (ideal for industrial or agricultural water storage applications).
  • 120″ diameter tanks: Capacity around 7,000 to 10,000 gallons (often used for large-scale agricultural or industrial applications).
  • 144″ diameter tanks: Capacity around 12,000 to 18,000 gallons (suitable for industrial or municipal water storage applications).
  • 192″ diameter tanks: Capacity up to 50,000 gallons (commonly used for municipal water storage or other large-scale water processing applications).
